학부소개 및 교육목표 Introduction
and Educational Mission
식물생명과학전공은 과거의 농학과와 원예학과가 통합하여 빠르게 변화하는 생명과학기술의
발달에 부응하기 위하여 만들어진 전공이다. 작물학과 원예학 관련 전공과목과 더불어
생명공학, 친환경농산물생산기술, 기능성작물개발, 천연물질의 탐색과 이용 등의
최신 학문을 보강함으로써 전통 농업을 첨단의 고부가가치, 문화선도의 생명산업으로
승화시키는 미래지향적인 생명산업인재 양성을 목적으로 한다. 본 전공은 교육인적자원부의
지역대학혁신역량강화사업에 선정되어 다수의 학생들에게 장학금과 해외연수 기회를
제공하고 첨단기자재를 활용한 양질의 현장 실험 실습교육을 제공하고 있다.
Division
of Plant Biosciences originated from two academic departments, Agronomy and
Horticultural Science, is established to take important roles in the field of
Life Science and Technology which is rapidly being changed. Our mission is to
educate students with traditional and advanced courses such as biotechnology,
enviro-friendly crop production technology, screening and utilization of natural
compounds, to be leading scientists in the future Life Industry, and hence to
change the traditional agricultural industry into the highly value-added and
culture-leading bio-industry. Our Division participates in New University for
Regional Innovation (NURI) Project from Ministry of Education and Human Resources
Development, and hence, many students have a lot of benefits with high standard
education programs and chances to receive various scholarships and financial
supports.

응용생물화학전공은 미래 응용생명과학에 부합하는 인재양성을 위하여 농화학과와
농생물학과의 학문적 통합으로 이루어졌다. 본 전공에서는 친환경농업 및 기능성
생물자원의 개발에 관한 첨단학문을 연구 교육하며 구체적으로 생물환경의 복원,
식물병해충관리를 위한 식물의학, 농산물의 품질 안전성 평가, 기능성 생물소재 생산
및 응용, 유용곤충자원의 개발, 유용 생물신소재 생산 등에 필요한 인재양성과 선도연구를
지향한다. 본 전공은 교육인적자원부의 지역대학혁신역량강화사업에 선정되어 다수의
학생들에게 장학금과 해외연수 기회를 제공하고 첨단기자재를 활용한 양질의 현장
실험 실습교육을 제공하고 있다.
Division
of Applied Biology and Chemistry (DABC) was established by the synergistic integration
of two Departments, Agricultural Chemistry and Agricultural Biology, in the
CALS for the advanced education of the outstanding students who lead the Applied
Life Sciences in the 21 century. The mission of DABC is to educate and research
on environment-friendly agriculture and functional bioresources including restoration
of bio-environment, plant medication for the plant health management, safety
evaluation of agricultural products, developments of functional biomaterials
from plants, insects and microbes. Our Division participates in New University

Introduction and Educational Mission
본 학부는 최근 생명과학의 눈부신 발전과 생명산업에 대한 범국가적 관심 속에서
국제적으로 경쟁력을 갖춘 인재를 배출하고자 기존의 식품공학과와 동물공학과가
통합하여 단일 학부를 구성함으로써 명실 공히 생명과학을 접목시킨 식품생명공학
분야의 국내 최고의 학부로 거듭나게 되었다. 본 학부는 교육인적자원부의 지역대학혁신역량강화사업에
선정되어 다수의 학생들에게 장학금과 해외연수 기회를 제공하고 첨단기자재를 활용한
